The club

We started in 2023 because Geelong locals who wanted to play rugby league had to drive to Melbourne to do it. Now the game is back here: kids can learn it from under 6s up, and seniors can pull on a jersey — with games on Saturdays, some at home in Newcomb and some across Melbourne.

We're a community club run by locals, and we're always recruiting. Little ones start with non-contact tag footy, juniors play in the Storm Junior League, and our women contest the Storm Premiership. No experience needed — just turn up keen.

The club song

  1. Up up the sharkies,
  2. the team in the black white and blue,
  3. Up up the sharkies,
  4. the name of Geelong fits you,
  5. Sharks! Sharks! forever,
  6. go out and play without fear,
  7. now's the time to see good football,
  8. 'cause the sharks are here!

Words by the Sharks. Tune: “Roll Out the Barrel” (the Beer Barrel Polka).
